EXCLUSIVE: The adaptation of Tim Guest’s memoir My Life In Orange, about his childhood in an Indian commune, is curently in development.
An Education director Lone Scherfig is attached to direct a feature adaptation of Tim Guest’s 2004 memoir My Life In Orange for Ruby and Focus Features International.
The film will be based on Guest’s experiences of growing up in an Indian commune in the Eighties after his mother Caroline felt ‘a calling’ and wanted a better life for her and her son. Guest died in 2009 aged 34 of a suspected morphine overdose.
The project, currently in development, will be produced by Alison Owen and Faye Ward for Ruby Films, with Focus financing and distributing worldwide.
Scherfig’s last feature was an adaptation of David Nicholls’ One Day, also for Focus Features.
