American Film Institute top brass will announce their list of the year’s most outstanding achievements in film and television on December 8.

Honourees will attend a luncheon on January 9, 2015. 

AFI staff are accepting submissions for the 10 outstanding television and 10 outstanding films of 2014 through October 23 for television and October 30 for film.

Oscar winner 12 Years A Slave (pictured) was among the 10 outstanding films of 2013 selected by AFI.
