The Big Short has garnered five nominations including Best film, best adapted screenplay, best supporting actor (Christian Bale), and best editing.

Steven Spielberg's Cold War thriller Bridge of Spies tops the nominations along with Carol. The film has earned nine nominations including best film, best director, best original screenplay, best supporting actor (Mark Rylance), best music, best cinematography, best editing, best production design, and best sound.

Carol tops the nominations alongside Bridge of Spies with nine nods, including best film, best director, best actress (Cate Blanchett), best supporting actress (Rooney Mara), best adapted screenplay, best cinematography, best production design, best costume design, and best make up & hair.

the revenant

The Revenant has scooped up eight nominations, including best film, best director, best actor (Leonardo DiCaprio), best music, best cinematography, best editing, best make up & hair, and best sound.

Spotlight

Spotlight has been nominated in three categories including best film, best supporting actor (Mark Ruffalo), and best original screenplay.

45 years

Andrew Haigh's drama 45 Years is nominated for Best British Film.

amy winehouse

Amy follows the tragic life and death of beloved singer Amy Winehouse. It has been nominated in both the Best British Film and Best Documentary categories.

Brooklyn

Brooklyn has garnered six nominations inlcuding Outstanding British film, best adapted screenplay, best actress (Saoirse Ronan), best supporting actress (Julie Walters), best costume design, and best make up & hair.

the danish girl

The Danish Girl has been nominated in five categories, including Outstanding British film, best actor (Eddie Redmayne), best actress (Alicia Vikander), best costume design, and best make up & hair.

ex machina

Ex Machina has garnered five nominations including Outstanding British film, best debut film, best original screenplay, best supporting actress (Alicia Vikander), and best visual effects.

the lobster

The Lobster has been nominated for Outstanding British Film.
